PHIL ANDERSON LAUNCHES PETITION FOR INCLUSIVE WISCONSIN DEBATES

Middleton, Wisconsin – September 21st 2023 – Phil Anderson, Libertarian candidate for the United States Senate in Wisconsin, has initiated an online petition drive to encourage the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association (WBA) to reconsider their debate criteria for the late 2024 Senate debates leading up to the November election.

In a commitment to open and fair democratic practices, Anderson seeks to ensure that all candidates who qualify to be on the ballot for voters in Wisconsin are given the opportunity to participate in the WBA debates. This move would provide voters with a broader spectrum of voices and perspectives, ultimately strengthening the democratic process.

The petition, accessible at AndersonForUSSenate.com/petition, aims to rally support from Wisconsin residents who believe in a more inclusive and participatory electoral process. Signatures collected will be presented to the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association prior to their January 2024 board meeting.

"We firmly believe that every candidate who has earned a spot on the ballot should have the chance to engage with the voters of Wisconsin and present their ideas," said Phil Anderson. "Our campaign is dedicated to promoting these core democratic values."

Wisconsin's Pro-Peace Candidate for U.S. Senate, Takes a Stand Against the War in Ukraine

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Phil Anderson, Wisconsin's Pro-Peace Candidate for U.S. Senate, Takes a Stand Against the War in Ukraine

Middleton, Wisconsin – September 14th, 2023 – As the world watches with concern the situation unfolding in Ukraine, Phil Anderson, Libertarian candidate for the United States Senate from Wisconsin, has emerged as a steadfast advocate for peace and diplomacy. In contrast to the incumbent Senator Tammy Baldwin, Anderson is firmly against the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and advocates for a peaceful resolution to the crisis. His unwavering commitment to ending the war in Ukraine and promoting peaceful solutions is resonating with libertarians and independents, as well as with peace-loving Democrats and Republicans, across the state.

"I firmly believe that war is not the answer to our problems," Anderson stated. "It's essential that we prioritize peaceful negotiations and diplomacy to end the crisis in Ukraine. The lives of innocent people are at stake, and we must take every possible step to avoid further suffering."

Despite the urgency of the situation, Senator Tammy Baldwin has failed to support meaningful efforts to end the war in Ukraine. Her inaction and unwillingness to take a stand against military intervention, and rubber stamping of a bloated Pentagon budget, have left many questioning her commitment to the values they hold dear.

“Every war begins with lies, continues with corruption and profiteering, and ends with death and destruction, mostly of innocent people. This cycle needs to end, and when I’m serving Wisconsin in the US Senate, I’ll do everything humanly possible to end it,” continues Anderson. “We must continue to rally, to make our voices heard, and look for allies in Congress. Unfortunately, Senator Baldwin has not been an ally for peace and transparency.”

Phil Anderson's stance against the war in Ukraine aligns with the values of peace-loving Wisconsinites of all political backgrounds. His commitment to ending the conflict through diplomatic means reflects the desire for a more peaceful and just world.

WI vs WW3- June Rally

WI vs WW3

The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin, Milwaukee End the Wars Coalition, Madison for a World Beyond War, and the Wisconsin People’s Party, join forces to protest and march on Saturday June 3rd10am at the Capitol Square, State Street entrance, in Madison.

WI vs WW3 opposes current U.S. foreign policy towards Russia and China, which puts us firmly on the path to global conflict. A third world war pitting the US against Russia and/or China is expected to feature the use of nuclear weapons, which is well understood to mean the deaths of billions of people.

This is a “big-tent” demonstration, put together by representatives from the People’s Party, the Libertarian Party, Madison for a World Beyond War, the Milwaukee End The Wars Coalition and various other organizations.  We do not believe that this is the time to “gatekeep” the peace movement, as no other issues matter if we fail to avoid World War Three. What unites us is a common belief in ending this chain of escalation before it ends us.

“Nothing is as important as preventing nuclear war.   Since Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, we are in an unprecedentedly dangerous time of risk of nuclear war.  World BEYOND War calls for a ceasefire and diplomacy in Ukraine, and an end to all wars.  Please join us.”  – Janet Parker, Madison for a World BEYOND War  [email protected]

“We could have easily dwelled on our differences, and I wouldn’t be here. I, and others here, hold Frederick Douglass’s statement dear, that “I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong.” – Phil Anderson, Libertarian Party of Wisconsin [email protected]

These are our demands:

  1. No more U.S. money or military involvement for war in Ukraine.
  2. De-escalate tensions with Russia and negotiate a ceasefire in Ukraine.
  3. No military conflict with China over Taiwan or any other issue.
  4. Re-enter nuclear non-proliferation and safety agreements.
  5. Reallocate excess Pentagon funding to our needs at home.
  6. Protect journalists as they inform the public on these issues.

We welcome everyone to unite with us on these demands. Join us on May 6th at 10am at the Wisconsin State Capitol  on the N. Hamilton side, before we march to the offices of Tammy Baldwin and onward, calling on our elected representatives to act in the interest of our survival.

Scheduled speakers include:

Esty Dinur - WORT radio host, journalist, veteran

Mike Bernhard - People's Party, Marine veteran, IBEW (retired), IWW

Phil Anderson - Army veteran, former Chair of Libertarian Party of Wisconsin

Anderson Campaign stands with United to Amend: Corporations do not have Free Speech rights

Anderson Campaign stands with United to Amend: Corporations do not have Free Speech rights

“If a corporation IS a person, how would you feel about other ways that a corporation could act, legally? Could Microsoft get married? Could Monsanto adopt a child? Could Raytheon vote, or hold public office? Of course not.”

MIDDLETON – Phil Anderson, Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin, is in agreement with United to Amend. Wisconsin United to Amend is a state network of concerned citizens who seek to overturn Citizens United and related Supreme Court decisions in order to reclaim the liberties and privileges guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution for real people.

“Friends, disabuse yourselves of the notion that corporations are persons. I’m not opposed to corporations protecting business related liability, but that they are legal persons is patently absurd. It’s bad law, and only remains so because of the amount of money supporting the idea.

“Corporations as people perverts the idea of a free society where people can voice their opinions, and by discussion and debate, the best ideas rise to the top. American society is a LONG way from that ideal, and corporations as people is a big part of the problem. As your U.S. Senator I will propose legislation to change federal law, and to amend the U.S. Constitution, so that unaccountable, soulless corporations can no longer suppress and drown out the speech of ordinary citizens.”

Anderson is a real estate broker residing in Middleton, WI and is an active member in the state and local Libertarian Party along with his two children. He is the second candidate to officially declare a bid for the seat which is up for election on November 5, 2024.

Cannabis legalization is about more than getting high

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date: April 20th, 2023

Anderson for US Senate: Cannabis legalization is about more than getting high

MIDDLETON – Phil Anderson, candidate for US Senate, understands that there is more to the issue of legalizing cannabis that opponents realize, or care to admit.

“People do have the right to consume what they choose, as long as they are not harming anyone else. And cannabis consumption is less dangerous to individuals than drinking alcohol, unhealthy diets, and other behaviors. The most dangerous thing about cannabis is, in fact, that it is illegal, and in order to consume this plant, Wisconsinites have to break the law.

“But let's not ignore the fact that cannabis prohibition was and has been a policy with racist intent, and results. Furthermore, prohibition puts a strain on law enforcement, breaks up families, and because of that our education system is stressed, and otherwise law-abiding citizens end up in jail. Lastly, prohibition of cannabis enriches criminals and cartels, the same way prohibition of alcohol did in the 1020s.

Anderson continues “I dare say the evidence suggests that legalizing cannabis would improve our society- from family life to the economy to the criminal justice system- more than any other legislation currently under consideration. My opponent, as far I can tell, has not fought for cannabis to be rescheduled, or better yet descheduled, by the FDA. As the next Senator for Wisconsin, I’ll take up that fight on behalf of all of us, from children to law enforcement to taxpayers and teachers.

Phil Anderson Announces U.S. Senate Campaign at LPWI Convention

MIDDLETON – Phil Anderson - longtime liberty advocate and torchbearer of restrained government, peace and freedom - announced his candidacy for United States Senate on April 15th, at the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin state convention.

“The goal of my campaign is to unite people who realize that representative democracy has been broken by corruption. We can have different opinions on issues and policies, and that’s healthy- however, it doesn’t matter at all if corporate interests, including and especially the war cartel, control our government, economy, and media.

“Unlike the incumbent, I will not support the war machine by shilling F-35’s, nor will I support the surveillance state by advancing incredibly privacy-invading legislation like the Restrict Act. I will fight to end the persecution of journalists like Julian Assange, Matt Taibbi, Seymour Hersh and many others. We as citizens must demand the right to know what the government is doing, and oppose any effort by the government to hide the truth and intimidate truthtellers.

Anderson is a real estate broker residing in Middleton, WI and is an active member in the state and local Libertarian Party along with his two children. He is the second candidate to officially declare a bid for the seat which is up for election on November 5, 2024.

“We must join together to DISRUPT the CORRUPTION so that we can get back to civil debate on human rights, political and economic issues, and understand that we all do better when we recognize the best in each other.”

Libertarian Phil Anderson Will Announce U.S. Senate Campaign

MIDDLETON – Phil Anderson - longtime liberty advocate and torchbearer of restrained government, peace and freedom - will announce his candidacy for United States Senate on April 15th, at the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin state convention.
